Plants have long been associated with important mental health benefits. Not only is it amazing to watch your plant grow, but they also help to purify the air from toxins and contaminants and have also been known to improve focus, concentration and help relieve stress and anxiety.  We believe that looking after your mental health is just as important as looking after your physical health.

Let us introduce you to our little friend Sarah’s Sansevieria…

She comes to us from a beautiful little garden where we have grown and propagated her with love. Sarah was a bright and cheerful soul who devoted her life to helping others. Despite this, Sarah experienced her own challenges for which she was seeking help.  Sarah was on the verge of enrolling in a clinical treatment trial at Monash University’s MAPrc.  MAPrc is a clinical research and treatment centre in Melbourne who develop and trial new treatments for people, especially women, who are living with mental ill health. All proceeds for Sarah’s Sansevieria will be donated to “Help Mend Minds”. 100% of the donations go directly towards supporting their innovative clinical research at MAPrc that develops and delivers new treatment for serious mental illness.

You can read more about the work at MAPrc here at:  https://www.maprc.org.au/complex-trauma-disorder-borderline-personality-disorder

My origins and family: Tropical West Africa

Looking good! I’m an attractive exotic evergreen succulent with grey to light green variegation with hints of pale yellows surrounding my edges. Can grow up to 1m tall and a tough plant for any situation.

I thrive best when...

Indoors: bright indirect light.

Outdoors: Full sun and part shade.

Likes: well- drained soil and limited watering.

Dislike: too much attention, I mostly just get on with it.

Pot size: 140mm (Ceramic pot not incl)

This one is a sentimental favourite and particularly comes from Sarah’s garden.

You will be supporting mental health. All proceeds from this goes to Monash University to help mend minds.

Pet Friendly: No

Brightness: Bright indirect sunlight, part shade and full sun.

Air purifying: Yes, one of the best.

Plant Size: Up to 80cm
