Alternanthera Brasiliana -
My origins and family: South and central America from the family Amaranthaceae
Looking Good! This stunner has vibrant small purple leaves when placed in full sun and its compact habit growing to height of approximately 30-40 cm and 45- 60cm in width. I also have the added benefit of quaint little white flowers in summer and autumn.
Outdoors: Full sun to part shade
Indoors: Will only do well in a very well bright area otherwise ideal in a patio situation where it can receive direct sunlight.
Likes: Warm weather, regular pruning and plenty of water in summer.
Dislikes: Snails and the cold weather as tends to go dormant.
Ideas: A beautiful plant to have in pots on the edge of your patio or for the use in borders or rockeries. I am just one of those friends that you have to have that compliment my personality.
